The scientific aspect

Qinax background

Nobel Prize 1986

Qinax products are firmly integrated into the methods of TCM phytotherapy. The findings of the Chinese pharmacologist Prof. Li Shunan on the efficacy of a special chalon (a substance produced naturally in the body that influences cell division) in some way anticipated what the Nobel Prize winners Rita Levi-Montalcini and Stanley Cohen discovered: Among other things, they identified the cell growth factor EGF (epidermal growth factor), a polypeptide that stimulates cell regeneration and thus wound healing.

2006

Later, U.S. Nobel laureates Craig Mello and Andrew Z. Fire discovered a mechanism of so-called RNA interference, a cellular mechanism for blocking certain genes. Prof. Li Shunan had previously found the growth-inhibiting effect of a certain chalon in his research on special insect amino acids.

2015

Another shining example of the efficacy and scientific importance of phytotherapy is the 2015 Nobel Prize in Medicine: Professor Youyou Tu of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine received this highest honor for extracting the extremely effective anti-malarial active ingredient artemisinin from annual mugwort.
